Going into today, I would've sworn this'd be a tough call. But nope: Enabler literally wipes the floor with High On Fire, on all counts. All Hail The Void is ballsier, more exciting, more interesting, more more more than De Vermis Mysteriis. Make no mistake: this latest album from High On Fire truly is a step up from their already triumphant Snakes For The Divine. But it's relatively staid compared to the Enabler. All Hail The Void indeed! The only question on my mind is: can Enabler pose a credible threat to Gojira? I guess we'll find out next week.
Tomorrow, Between The Buried And Me and Revocation go at it. There's literally no telling what the outcome will be.
