There was no way today's results could please everybody. I'm comfortable with that.
What I will say is that both BTBAM and Pig Destroyer put out the best albums of their respective careers last year, and it's not for nothing that The Parallax II and Book Burner are at or near the top of a lot of best-of lists. But, with all due respect, BTBAM's logical madness trumps Pig Destroyer's bezerker blasts, and let's not even talk about technicality. We bid adieu to Pig Destroyer, bested but not forgotten.
And then there were four! The Quarterfinals are here! Tomorrow, As I Lay Dying goes after Gojira.
